Hi, I'm Genevieve and I'm a Cheerleader for Love.
A wedding ceremony is the one time a couple has to declare their devotion, love, and faith to their significant other; I truly believe that your wedding ceremony should reflect who the couple is, as individuals, and as the united force they form.
Simply put, your wedding ceremony should be as unique as you are.
I'm here to make that happen.
I have been a registered officiant with the Universal Life Church since 2007, and since 2011, I have married over 50 couples. I am a secular officiant, but more than happy to work with you on integrating as much, or as little spirituality, religion, humanism or silliness, into your ceremony. I recognize that every couple is unique and will work with you towards creating a ceremony which represents your relationship, love, and selves. Further, I would be honored to work with you and your significant other on creating wedding vows. However you want your ceremony, we can figure it out together.
Upon graduation from New York University with a degree in Religious Studies, with a concentration in traditions and ceremony, I had the wonderful experience of working for a few years at a Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. In 2011, I was blessed with the chance to officiate a marriage. It was the perfect synthesizing of my interests, talents and my absolute wonder and respect for love, and thus began my passion for creating one-of-a-kind and memorable wedding ceremonies for couples.
I would love to be part of your wedding, commitment ceremony, or renewal of vows. I am LGBTQ friendly, standing on the side of love, and proud to be officiating weddings in New York State. Currently, I can serve Long Island and New York City.
